A sharp pang of pain shot through my heart, and I instinctively pressed for more.
"And what did you say?" Eric chuckled, then turned to match my gaze.
"I told them I've liked you for a long time-since before you even got divorced. That's why I worked son hard to help you end your marriage, so I could becyour husband. Then, I promised that I'd treat you weltor Flint Group would go bankrupt." My eyes widened in shock.
